Anushka gave us two looks over the weekend, a dressed up one for the Nivea event and dressed down one at a movie screening.

Anushka attended the Nivea event dressed in a blue tiered dress, which she paired with black web booties. The footwear choice was what made this look an average one; statement booties or studded heels would have totally changed the game for me. At the screening, she opted for skinny jeans with a cami and blazer.

Both Nicole Kidman and Karen Elson attended their events dressed in Red. Although they were two different silhouette and looks, we couldn't help but compare the reds.

Nicole wore Elie Saab fitted dress with strappy Jimmy Choos and a black clutch. I have always loved Nicole in red (remember the Red Balenciaga at Oscars?), but I was not the greatest fan of the styling of this dress. The dress needed stronger accessories and styling.

Karen wore a Gucci Fall 2011 dress first seen on Eva Mendes and I think she wore it well.

Last week, I posted how Malaika has a stunner style even when she is off diva duty.

Attending 'ZNMDB' movie special screening, Malaika combined trendy with comfort and came out with flying chic colors. The green denims with White cuffed shirt (Zara?) and nude heels were on trend, but the addition of that Tangerine arm candy and braided hair just elevated the look a few notches for me.

Fashion's in house Alice in Wonderland - Clemence Posey took to Red Carpet of ' Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Part -2' premiere this week.

While one look showcased Clemence's gamine charm plenty, the other was a let down, styling wise. The appearance in White Nina Ricci frothy dress with a black belt clinching the waist and black platform heels were bang on style.

Her second appearance in Chanel couture left a lot to be desired - I'm dying to pull that hair back in a sleek ponytail, and add some punchy make up to see if the jumbled appearance can be revived..

Usually one to turn out well in her sari sightings, the blouse seemed ill fitting on Aiswarya, but seems like she changed her outfit last minute before setting out for the event. (The event was cancelled on her request in light of the blasts in Mumbai.)

At the 'Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Part -2' NY premiere, I was instantly reminded as to why SJP was fashion's favourite IT girl for the longest of time.

She took to the Red Carpet in an Oscar de la Renta Resort 2012 printed gown and paired it with a genius navy tuxedo Jacket. For me, I much preferred Sarah's take on the gown to the model's on the runway, the blazer balanced the volume and length of the gown on Sarah and I loved how put together she looked.

It was a White draped Emanuel Ungaro gown for Sonam Kapoor at the launch of the trailer of her upcoming movie ' Mausam'.

Although we don't not have a full length picture to see the whole look, I like it from what I see.

The one shoulder gown with slight drape details and pleat knot on the side is a silhouette that Sonam wore well, and the up do with a slight tousled look and ornamental band upgrades the styling.

I'm looking forward to the promotions of this movie to see the style choices Sonam is going to make.

After the sartorial success during the promotions and première of her latest Harry Potter movie, Emma moved transatlantic to wow America.

At the New York Premiere of the movie, she opted for an unexpected choice of gown from the Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2011 Collection. The gorgeous gown had a fitted corset bust and dramatically draped at the waist - skirt details. The gown had plenty of drama, to which Emma added some more of hers, with slick back hair and dramatic eye make up in black and gold.

At the BAFTA Brits to Watch, Nicole Kidman walked the Red carpet in Elie Saab Couture, and looked fabulous.

Nicole wore a blue embellished gown with a fitted waist, thigh high slit (not seen on the pics) and drape details on the back. She left her hair loose, choosing not top highlight the draped back so much and carried a blue satin clutch.

I like this appearance, although I wish she had worn her hair differently and opted for a smaller clutch of another kind.

Who would have thought Sushmita and Mallika has same taste in clothes? Overstatement that might be, but Sushmita was spotted wearing the same Karen Millen dress first seen on Mallika during the promotions of 'Double Dhamal' ( see here )

It was a round that goes to Sushmita for a very small margin thanks to her footwear choice; we weren't fans of that dress in the first place (To be fair to Mallika, the dress fit her better).

Turning out to be quite a fashionista, Emma Roberts is.

FAB was the first thing came to my mind when I saw this sighting of Emma in a caramel MaxMara dress with black lace detailing. A dress that could have easily come off as cutesy or blah, Emma managed to strike a perfect balance and looked elegant and put together.

This one was a biggie, of sorts.

At Vaibhavi Merchant's ' Taj Express' musical launch, both Anushka and Sonam chose to wear black wide legged trousers. What with both of them being the young Bollywood with their set of fashion sensibilities, this one was a fun round.

For me, this was a no brainer, because Sonam won by a mile. While Anushka faltered in her pairing of the wide legged trouser with a thin strapped pink top with a black waist detail and black heels, Sonam was bang on with her tucked in white blouse with grey peter pan collar and black trousers.

For Anushka, the styling (aside from the disastrous top) of neckpiece, hair and heels were nothing great to write home about, I loved Sonam's hair, red lips and the red clutch.

At their recent appearances, both Neha Dhupia and Vidya Malvade opted to wear grey outfits - albeit in very different styles.

Vidya went the feminine pretty route in a floral grey sheath with grey cardigan and a pink Ferragamo bag, while Neha chose a more structured look one shouldered dress which she paired with edgy lace up booties.

As far as styling goes, I much preferred Neha's, especially the hair and the fact that she knows how to dress for her body type, but the make up wasn't spot on. As for Vidya, the floral print was telling enough, by adding a neckpiece and the studded toe shoes, the whole looked seemed a bit too.. busy.

Both Arpita and Rachel showed off some maxi styles in two sides of the world.

Arpita attended the 'Chillar Party' movie screening, dressed in a Sabyasachi maxi dress in Mumbai. Arpita kept her look simple, pairing the printed maxi with contrasting yellow motifs on the hem and bust with just a leather strap watch. I think she wore the maxi well, the silhouette and fall of the maxi really flattering on her.

Olivia Palermo seems to be having a busy week, on the fashion front.

She attended the 'White Fairy tale Ball' in Paris last evening, dressed in Valentino couture. While I'm a huge cheer leader of Olivia's street style, this formal one is not exactly sending me to the wow wow land. The fir of the bust seems to be way off, almost making the neckline seem too low.

Olivia had dressed up the gown in her signature statement neckpiece, which has helped hiding the some of the damage on the ill fitting bust, but I think she could have done way better.

The gorgeous Anne Hathaway attended the the "White Fairy Tale Ball" in France.

Anne was a beautiful vision in the Valentino Couture white gown with pleated bodice, beaded cap sleeves and ruffles detailing on the skirt. The look had a whimsical feel thanks to the loose curls and a delicate head piece she wore.

On anyone else, the dress would have been borderline costumy, but Anne managed to pull it off just fine.

Bollywood dress code - White denims!

Looks likes white lowers were what took over the Bollywood fashionistas, at least at the 'Chillar Party' Premiere and 'ZNMDB' promos.

Almost all of the celebs attended chose white denims - and it gave us some really different looks.

Amrita was the surprise package - after a gazillion satin and silk bridesmaids dresses, Amrita did a turn around and granted us a color block look - in a punchy green top and bright blue blazer (both Zara) which she paired with black accessories. I didn't care for her black beads or the black clutch, but she looked good.

Kangna went with a summer worthy combo - yellow shirt and white denims which she paired with nude pumps. The skinny denims were too short for those pumps - 6 inch heels with short denims didn't cut it for me, neither did the hair.

Kalki opted for a more relaxed white lower look, in a sleeveless floral top and White wrap pants. An Orange bag and flats completed her easy and day look, which I quite liked.

Gul lost me at the flashbulb friendly black T.
Raageswari Loomba was dressed in a white trouser and white blazer, which she paired with a striped top and Aldo espadrilles in blue for a slight nautical vibe.

In Black and White - Avantika Malik & Kiran Rao.

It was identical color combos for Aavntika and Kiran at the success bash of 'Delhi Belly'.

Avantika took the traditional route in a White anarkali with black embroidery, while Kiran opted for a black sheath with a belted waist.

Avantika lost me at the blue pumps, the silhouette of the outfit and the bangs doing her hardly any favours. Although unexciting, I much prefer Kiran's partying style in this instance.

Fashion's current IT girls Alexa and Olivia were attendees at the Paris Couture week.

Alexa attended the Chanel Couture show in a White and Black Chanel dress with an elaborate bodice and studded oxfords, while Olivia attended the Stephen Roland show in a summery short dress from Zara.

Alexa, in her signature style, stayed minimalistic and Olivia's accessorising for me, fell a little flat. With an easy colorful dress like that, I would have skipped the neckpiece altogether and opted for a lighter shoes instead of the satin ones she was seen sporting.

Cate Blanchett attended the Armani Prive Couture Fall 2011 in Paris today and looked stunning in Armani Prive Spring 2011 Couture.

Cate is one star that can take a look off the runway and make it absolutely her own with her style power and this look was no different. She wore the red peplum dress with the front zipper and skipped the runway details that made this look a knockout.

She completed the look by pairing it with matching red heels by the label and orange studs.

I must admit, for me, anyone who does half a decent job at pulling off a yellow outfit with right accessories has their fashion sense in the right place.

I was super excited to see two fashionistas wear and rock (well almost) two yellow looks. Kelly wore a bodycon Victoria Beckham yellow dress which she paired with blue Louboutins, black cuffs and poker straight hair. The idea was to go contrast and it worked for her.

Olivia worked a breezy Topshop lemon yellow dress which she paired with stacked statement neckpieces, a gold clutch, gold cuff and golden lace up heels by Giuseppe Zanotti. I loved the look, save for the golden booties. I would have liked a lighter footwear choice, but she looked good just the same.

To the unveiling of 'I Am She' top 20, Sushmita was seen in a Stella McCartney -esque LBD and black peep toe pumps.

While I think the silhouette was great on Sushmita's body, the way she wore the sheer LBD with sequin ribbed detailing was the let down. The black slip ruined the dress for me, the asymmetrical neckline totally sidelined by the strong shade of the innerwear.

As a former Miss. Universe and model, Ms. Sen should have known better? I would love to see this dress in an all black version with a nude innerwear for the illusion.

Emma Roberts attended the Ferragamo Resort 2012 Collection show in a purple silk dress with a keyhole neck and I loved it!

I don't know where to begin. With Vidya, the shiny satin ruffle strapless ( phew!) gown was a no brainer to begin with and the LV clutch did nothing to bump up that look.

Nisha - what dress memo did she get that was different from the others! The blue dress on its own could have been salvaged but the weird headgear and feathery thingy in the hand are just ... not right.

At the launch of Amadeus, Masaba and Simone attempted color.

Masaba got it bang on with a tangerine dress belted at the waist and nude heels, while Simone paired candy pink and white. It isn't the colors that we had an issue with, waist up, I thought Simone looked divine, but the harem pants fused capri pants just didn't work.

PS: The Hermes belt is adding something to that dress doesn't it?

So impressed I was with her last outing and style choice, I was very curious to see what Priya would wear at the Filmfare Awards.

She went the traditional route in a Manish Malhotra esque white anarkali with heavy gold embellishments. Although neck up Priya looked gorgeous, the sheer detail of the anarkali was a let down, not a fan of sheer.

Mamta Mohandas was one of the very few actresses that went the western route at the 58th Filmfare Awards.

Mamta choose a cheery yellow draped dress from Spendthrift, which was a very refreshing change. The love however had to take a backs seat for a while with the accessories the actress chose with the dress with feather details

Instead of going easy on the accessories front, Mamta wore a floral headband and a black studded bracelet and ring. The excess add-ons aside, I think she looked pretty good.

Jennifer Aniston is promoting her upcoming movie - 'Horrible Bosses' and I'm preparing myself for a whole lot of LBD sightings.

Last week, Jennifer was sported wearing a lace Nina Ricci LBD to 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'. I loved the dress; the silhouette was very refreshing and was styled in true Jennifer style with minimum fuss - with sling back pumps and straight hair.

Yesterday, at another promo event, Jennifer wore a stunning sequin mini dress by Balenciaga with strappy sandals by Versace. Jennifer rocked the LBD with her banging toned body.

However, I'm not sure if I can sit through the coming few weeks of black dresses after black dresses. It's summer after all and we need to see some color.

Once in a while, I come across a look that makes no sense to me, try as I might to understand it.

Attending her I AM SHE event, Sushmita had me in one of those predicament - dressed in a White drape dress with asymmetrical neckline and a black stripe across the front panel. To add to the woes, she paired the dress with chunky golden heels, not that we were fans of the dress to begin with.

I tried to see the dress from many angles to see if it makes any sense, sadly, it didn't.

At the Burberry Serpentine party, where rest of the attendees wore color galore, Alexa stuck to her style region, in a Black Carven dress with white peter pan -esque color and exaggerated ruffles in the front.

We have seen Blake Lively in a dress from the same collection, where she rocked the look, I'm not so sold on Alexa. The length of the dress paired with black pumps hardly spells summer and was a little too heavy.

Wearing similar silhouettes - with very different styling were Simone and Divya in Mumbai.

While Divya went with an all black theme - black drape dress and all black accessories - and added a splash of color with yellow neckpiece, Simone channelled a pure summer vibe in a Morphe by Amit Agarwal yellow outfit.

I loved how cheerful Simon's look was, and that she paired her cheery dress with nude heels. Also digging Divya's effort on making the black look fresh , the arm candy doesn't hurt the eye, too.

The white dress with accent shoulders paired with hounds tooth clutch and red heels appealed to me big-time, although I would have liked the pumps to be less pointed. Why am I nitpicking? I liked the look. A lot.

A fashionista with an unerring eye for detail and style, Diane Kruger's this appearance at Jaeger- LeCultre Grande Reverso 80th Anniversary left me a bit underwhelmed.

I love that she chooses to wear a mix bag of designers and not stuck in a style-label rut, and gets it right almost always.

In this instance though, it was everything was perfect and nearly there look in Vionnet dress and Gucci heels - till I got to the stockings. Almost there.

Kareena Kapoor attended the Jaeger - LeCoultre Reverso 80th Anniversary in France, dressed in a Gucci gown.

Although there are no full length pics available at this time, I can tell you from what's available that it’s not a look that I'm sold on. The deep coal gown with halter neck did not need that emerald neckpiece and the Kareena's usual deft hand at make up seems to be off.

The tan make up that our celebs tend to do while attending international events doesn't work for the save for a certain Ms.Pinto, who seems to have mastered the art.

Freida paired a printed halter top with a white draped pencil skirt and a brown slim belt. I wish she had worn the skirt a little higher to define the waist further since in some pics it lacks definition.

That little gripe aside, I think she wore this one well.

The Bollywood folks from IIFA is back and its time to check out their travel style file.

All three ladies clearly dressed for comfort but in a put together manner, and we like celebs that dress for comfort but manage not to look homeless.

Anushka's travel style was fitted denims, printed T and a black cardigan along with her Fendi Silvana Bag worn cross body. Bipasha chose a loose fitting printed top and leggings and boots and wore my all time favourite travel companion - a Fedora.

Dia was in a frilled white sleeveless top, denims and what seemed like a nude bomber jacket. I'm digging the braid. Perfect for a long flight but adding a dash of style when done right.

Julia Roberts is one celeb I wish I could see more often on red carpet or events, because her star power is such that it comes through regardless of what she wears.

She attended the premiere of her movie ' Larry Crowne' in a Gucci Fall Navy suit with flared pants. She kept her hair in a side swept up do and wore green jade neckpiece to add a pop of color.

Julia, like Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston is known to prefer to wear black on red carpet ( such a shame really, with all those colorful options available to them) and so its good to see her in Navy.

While the world and their cousins ( read you and VW) been busy cruising the IIFA boat, Kerry Washington looked smashing at the recently held BET Awards.

Kerry wore a sleek yellow Michael Kors (who is fast becoming the go-to designer for red carpets) gown and black Louboutins.

Usually not a fan of yellow coupled with black, but Kerry's this look makes me beg to differ. The metallic neck detail, key hole neck and the slim waist of the gown is so bang on that it made Kerry look like a million bucks.

The most anticipated arrival on the IIFA green carpet for me was Neha Dhupia and she sure didn't disappoint.

One to almost always get it right and known for her very individualistic sense of style, Neha opted for a nude Malandrino gown with gold links detailing at the bust and back. The gown held a slight vintage appeal which she complemented with her tousled one sided hairdo and styling.

I'm rounding off my IIFA 2011 coverage with this post and Neha is most certainly one of the best dressed at the event.

Movie Screening Style - Aishwarya, Anu, Avantika & Kiran.

Movie screenings typically see dressed down celebs in Bollywood (relatively speaking) and we got to see a few of them and let’s see how they did.

First up, mom to be Aishwarya Rai dressed in a white printed top and denims, which she cheered up by wearing a yellow cardigan and tan accessories. We like, the colorful cardigan made the outfit.

Anu Dewan attended the screening of 'Delhi Belly' in an Alexander McQueen Eagle print top and denims. She also carried her arm companion of all times - a Birkin.

Avantika wore a beige shirt dress (Michael Kors?) which she accessorised with a tan studded belt, Orange studded bag and nude heels. This is the best dressed Avantika has been in a while and we like.

Kiran kept her quirky style and dressed in a grey and white combination. It isn’t the best or worst she has looked, quite meh, actually.

The burnt orange color looked fabulous and Penelope worked her post baby body in the draped dress. Although I think she looked great, it wasn't a FAB look for me, I was so sold on the way the dress fell on the model, Penelope's dress seemed a bit too fitted ( I am nitpicking and its unreal but look at that dress on the model).

Anne Hathaway attended the 13th Tie and Tiara Ball to benefit Elton John AIDS foundation dressed in Prada.

I'm usually over the moon to have an Anne sighting, because she always make such excellent fashion choices. However, this look of hers left me unsure for many reasons.

I'm not too sure of this silhouette on Anne, it just makes her figure look less full and normally that’s a good thing but in this case, not in a good way. The hair lacked any styled appearance and for me the hair color clashed with the bust of the dress. I wasn't too excited about the gold strappy purse either; a case clutche, hair styled with more volume and this would have been a better look.

Looking impeccable in an Alexander McQueen Pre Fall 2011 military inspired dress coat ( the collection showed it paired with pants at the unveiling) , she rocked this navy blue ensemble and VW is loving it!

Kate accessorised with gold shamrock brooch, navy shoes by Prada, a case clutch by Anya Hindermarch and a navy fascinator by Rachel Trevor Morgan.

Must admit that I was curious about what Dia was going to wear at the IIFA after her gazillion appearance in Zara, at the events leading up to the Awards ceremony.

Unlike most stars who wore fitted gowns to the ceremony, Dia's choice was a more summer friendly and billowy one, and I was pleasantly surprised that she opted to wear prints instead her usual favoured choice of solids and clean lines.

I like her look, the embellished cut out detailing giving the Mathew Williamson gown the glamour it requires for the event, its not all out FAB and in your face glam, but then that's not Dia's style either.

Well, after walking the IIFA green carpet in the same Ramona Narang dress as Ameesha Patel's (see here) Bipasha made a fast dress change before appearing on stage.

The stage appearance was in a Gauri and Nainika Black gown, and a sleek hair do. I didn't think her first was very event appropriate and this one is a way better an upgrade and Bipasha looked good.

Isn't it great for her that the Black gown was handy!

Of all the gazillion options out there to walk the red (green carpet in this case) carpet of an Award show, why would Priyanka Chopra choose something that we have seen on her and on others time an again?

The White and Blue lehenga by Manish Malhotra does no great favours to the actress. The voluminous skirt, velvet choli and embellished shawl brings nothing new to the table, Priyanka needs to find her Mojo again.

Wowza!

Mallika most certainly pulled all stops to bring the sexy back to the IIFA Awards green carpet in champagne lace cut out gown.

The gown is very Malaika, in her bombshell sexiness style, but I really wish the MOnisha Jaisingh gown was minus the waist cut-out detail. Usually one to carry out in your face hotness, this look of hers with the one shoulder neck, thigh high slit and the waist, felt a bit too much.

In what seems like a double duty on the IIFA green carpet, Sonakshi opted to join the glitter party, started off by Shilpa.

I think Sonakshi looked stunning in her wrap dress inspired black sequin gown, thanks to her keeping her accessories to minimum to let the gown take the centre stage. I do not have a full length photo yet to see her shoes, but from what we can see, this one is a winner.

PS: Love the touch of red flower and the very discreet pairing of the Black Bottega clutch with the shimmery gown.

Oh Lord!

This has to be the most unexpected (not in a good way) fashion moment of Bipasha's Red Carpet life. Bipasha attended the IIFA Award ceremony in a Ramona Narang mini - also worn by Ameesha Patel in a different color.

In an event where just about everyone was dressed to nines in gowns and saris, it must have sucked big time to be in an average – go –to club cocktail mini, only to realise that someone else is at the same event wearing the same dress!

Time for a change of stylist may be?
